Arsenal 2-2 Manchester City…

Arsenal provided some respite from our horrendous league form after a hard-fought point at home to Manchester City in a game in which we fell behind on two occasions.

Man City came into the game as favourites and took a lead early one which was a significant setback for the team and the last thing we needed.

Theo Walcott equalised with a scruffy goal after tangling in the box with Gael Clichy, though Sergio Aguero quickly put the hosts in front once again.

After the interval, Shkodran Mustafi rose the highest to head home a corner and despite a few chances for both sides, the game ended quite tamely in the end.

What does this point mean? Well, we’re no closer to the top four than we were before kick-off which means that Champions League football remains unlikely.

However, this could potentially be a springboard for a late push in the league with the games now coming thick and fast.
