Arsenal have confirmed that Dinos Mavropanos will be sidelined for a month with a groin injury after the Greek starlet went missing from the matchday squad for a few weeks.

Mavropanos enjoyed an impressive end to last season and was one of the youngsters many felt would benefit hugely from a change in manager and the introduction of a more hands-on approach.

He is yet to feature for us this season though he did take a full part in pre-season, which has left us rather bare at the back with just Sokratis Papastathapoulos, Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi.

Laurent Koscielny is still recovering from his achilles surgery and while he’s training outside, the club have said that he’s aiming for a November return.

In terms of updates regarding the other injuries, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a doubt for the League Cup clash against Brentford after missing the Everton game with an ankle injury.

Emery has received a defensive boost with the return of Sead Kolasinac, however. The Bosnian hasn’t played yet this season after damaging knee ligaments in a friendly against Chelsea in August.

The likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Carl Jenkinson are yet to return to the fold.
