Thierry Henry names two unique Arsenal goals he scored…

When discussing the ‘Art of Goal Scoring’, who better to pick their brain than arguably the greatest centre-forward the game has seen in Thierry Henry.

Ironically, Henry infamously started off as a winger who had little confidence in front of a goal, a talent which was coached over the years by Arsene Wenger.

The Frenchman would go on to become one of the most lethal finishers the game has ever seen, and he wanted to give in-depth analysis on the range of goals strikers can score.

For the Sky Sports pundit, he particularly loved goals that he visualised in his head before executing, giving examples of when that happened at Arsenal.

“While the ball is coming, I’m picturing what I’m about to execute,” Henry told Soccer AM.

“There is nothing better than when you actually do what you had in your mind.

When asked to offer examples of when he pictured a move before finishing it off, Henry said Newcastle United at home in 2001, as well as his infamous goal against Liverpool in 2004 which effectively clinched the league.

In such a fast-paced game where defenders are taught to offer very little time and space, the qualities described by Henry are possessed by a few.

It’s usually a skill innately built into certain players, where you knew for sure that every step of their move was planned before the defender could get touch tight.

Following on from Henry’s examples, his goal at home to Man United will long live in the memory for such a strike.
