Dan Crowley nets superb goal while on loan…

Arsenal loanee Dan Crowley scored a wonderful goal for Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles in their heavy defeat to Heracles as the youngster continues his development.

Crowley has had a few unsuccessful loan spells during the past few seasons, with Oxford United and Barnsley both sending him back before his loan period ended.

Many questioned whether or not Crowley had an attitude problem given that he was billed as the next starlet to come through our youth system, though he’s proving the doubters wrong while playing abroad.

Playing in a foreign league is seen as a good educational period for English youngsters considering the number of changes they needed to acclimatise to, and the former Aston Villa youth player is handling it well.

Arsenal do tend to send a number of youngers on loan to Holland’s top flight, with the likes of Ryo Miyaichi, Stefan O’Connor and Gedion Zelalem all heading over there in recent years.

With Crowley’s currently playing for a team bottom of the league and facing relegation, he’ll certainly have to produce more moments like the one above if they’re to have any hope of surviving.
