Mesut Ozil looking forward to pre-season tour…

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has talked up the upcoming pre-season tour of Australia and China despite the doubts surrounding his future.

Ozil, who has been embroiled in a contract dispute with the club for almost 12 months only has a year left on his current deal.

While the rumours of a potential exit for Ozil aren’t as persistent as they are about Alexis Sanchez, he still hasn’t committed his future to the club.

Ozil, who was seen as the man who symbolised our transition from a selling club to one of Europe’s elite in 2013, must remain an Arsenal player.

It doesn’t seem like Ozil would like to remain an Arsenal player but is desperate to see the club show some serious ambition in the market.

“I hear Sydney is a nice city with a lot of nice people living there,” The German wizard told Arsenal Player.

“I don’t know a lot about Australia but this is a good opportunity to see the city, the people and I’m really happy to go there with Arsenal.

“It is really good to have pre-season with the team, in my career it has always been like that. If you play at a big tournament, especially with Germany, you really miss pre-season.

“I can’t wait to go there.”
