Arsene Wenger dispels PSG rumours

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was quick to dismiss reports claiming that he’s been offered a new two-year deal by Paris Saint-Germain as his future continues to dominate.

The Sun reported that PSG had offered Wenger a way out of his current nightmare at Arsenal and with the Frenchman’s Gunners deal up in June, he’s free to join a new club.

However, Wenger has always been adamant in his plans that Arsenal remains his preference and it seems as though the boss will sign a new two-year deal this summer.

Asked about the PSG rumours, Wenger told beinSPORTS: “A contract with PSG? I formally deny that. That is fake news. I formally deny that.”

It’s quite striking that Wenger was so quick to dispel such rumours of an exit, but the boss has yet to confirm whether or not he’s agreed to a new deal at the club.

Given that Wenger revealed that he’s made a decision after our disastrous defeat to West Bromwich Albion, it shouldn’t be too long before one of the biggest announcements in the club’s history is made public.
