Arsene Wenger shifts focus onto the board…

Arsene Wenger has once again pointed towards the board when he was questioned on his future ahead of our clash against Crystal Palace on Monday, stating that any announcement will come from the board.

Following the statement released last month from the club declaring that any decision on Wenger’s future will be “mutual” and announced at the correct time, we’ve heard very little from the club on Wenger’s future since then.

However, despite stating that he’s aware of what his future holds, the boss claimed that the club will have to announce what his future will be.

Asked whom the announcement on his future will come from, Wenger stated: “From the club.”

When Wenger admitted that he’s planning for next season, he was once again quizzed on if that suggested that he will be here next season, the Frenchman replied: “No, that suggests that I do my job which is to plan for the future of the club.”

He’s giving very little away, though we should know by now that the delay on his future is coming from the club, given that Wenger stated that he’s been ready to make an announcement since after the West Bromwich Albion defeat.

Nevertheless, keeping the most important component of the club – the fans – in the dark over the future of our club is unforgivable.
