Arsene Wenger accepts fans’ anger…

Arsene Wenger admitted that the fans were well within their rights to voice their displeasure from the terraces after yet another shambolic display in the Premier League.

A struggling Crystal Palace side, fighting for their lives at the foot of the table, managed to produce a near-faultless display against us while having the ruthlessness to put away three goals in the process.

On the other hand, our players seemed uninspired to put in a serious performance to keep up with our main rivals while also attempting to take the heat off the manager they claim they love.

Asked about the fans’ “you’re not fit to wear the shirt” chants, Wenger replied: “I think they are extremely disappointed and I can understand that.

“It is understandable that they are disappointed because we played with a desire to win tonight and we knew what will face us.

“From the start on, in the decisive moments of the game, they (Palace) were sharper.”

That was a feeble response from Wenger indicative of how our team is playing at the moment and of the culture seeming through every area of this football club.

Arsenal are, according to Forbes, the fifth most valuable football team on the planet, yet we behave like fighting for trophies should be a secondary aim.

No other top club operates in such a manner and accepts the type of results we’ve become accustomed to in the past few years, and it seems the fans are determined to change that.
