Kingsley Coman says he’s not joining Arsenal…

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has moved to quash rumours about a potential move to Arsenal this summer with the Frenchman keen to sustain his career at the German giants.

Coman’s move to Bayern was made official in 2017 after a two-year loan deal from Juventus and was initially regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.

His reputation has taken a hit over the years and the 22-year-old has struggled to dethrone legendary wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben to hold down a starting spot.

Coman was left out of the France squad for the World Cup and it may have been the motivational boost he needed, though it hasn’t prompted the forward to think about a move away.

“That’s not true,” Coman told Sport 1 (via the Mirror) when asked about reported talks with Arsenal.

“I’ve just extended my contract here at Bayern and I’m planning to stay for many more years.”

Unai Emery has been busy this summer, adding Stephan Lichsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathapoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi to the first-team squad.

Having said that, we’re seriously lacking in options out wide since the departures of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez.

We haven’t replaced those players with a like-for-like player and it’s made us one-dimensional in attack. Hopefully, Emery can address that before the window slams shut.
