Graham Hunter responds to Arsenal and Mbappé rumours…

European football expert Graham Hunter believes that we’re “way down the queue” in the race to sign Monaco wonder kid Kylian Mbappé.

Reports emerged this week that we saw a €100million bid for Mbappe rejected by Monaco, a figure which had a number of fans in disbelief.

According to Graham Hunter, however, we’re seriously in for the 18-year-old sensation, despite claiming that we’re behind in the queue of top clubs waiting to poach the Monaco starlet.

Lyon marksman Alexandre Lacazette has been viewed as an alternative, with Hunter revealing that Arsenal are also keeping tabs on that situation.

“Arsenal would like to sign Mbappé, I think they’re way down the queue, Mbappé won’t go there I believe,” Hunter told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“Arsenal would want Lacazette. If Lacazette could’ve been signed by Atleti, they wanted him.”

The Sky Sports La Liga expert described the pursuit of Lacazette from a host of top clubs as a “transfer market fist fight”, indicating the need for a classic No.9 for those teams.

Top strikers are a rare breed and it has caused the market to become extremely inflated given the lack of supply to supplement the huge demand.

Mbappé, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Alvaro Morata seem to be the ones on the move this and we’ve surely got to land one.
