Everton 2-5 Arsenal: Wenger points to fully fit stars as a reason for the win…

Arsene Wenger hailed the team’s display as we recorded our first away win of the season in the Premier League to further dent Ronald Koeman’s woes.

Wenger excited fans with his starting XI after naming star trio Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez together for the first time this season.

They combined to devastating effects with all three getting on the scoresheet as we took the hosts apart despite going behind early on to a customary Wayne Rooney goal.

Having chopped and changed the team this season, Wenger claimed that what we saw at Everton was a result of having his best players at the peak of their powers.

“Overall our away performances were not rewarded,” Wenger told Sky Sports as he reminisced on the three defeats we’ve suffered on the road this season.

“Today, when everybody is here, in full power and full class, it makes a difference as well.

When asked about starting the aforementioned trio together for the first time, Wenger accepted that it had the desired effect: “Yep, and we scored the number of goals we scored.”

Playing world class players together is usually the best way to score goals and claim three points in this division, and one wonders why Wenger was reluctant to do that early on this season.

With a mouthwatering clash against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the horizon, we need them in full flow.
