Newly-promoted side Fulham are reportedly keen on a move for Arsenal defender Calum Chambers in a bid to add some Premier League experience to their defence, Sky Sports News reports.

Fulham made their way back the pinnacle of English football last season after winning the play-off final against Aston Villa in comfortable fashion.

The west London outfit have been absent from England’s top flight since their relegation in 2014, and they are eyeing Arsenal utility man Chambers as a potential recruit.

Chambers made 24 appearances in all competitions for us last season and was sent out on loan to Middlesbrough the previous year, though the England international did sign a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2020.

It’s been a summer of change at the club since the departure of Wenger and it remains to be seen which players new manager Unai Emery sees as part of his future plans.

While Per Mertesacker has retired, vice-captain Laurent Koscielny still remains alongside Rob Holding – who’s recently signed a long-term contract – Shkodran Mustafi and Konstantinos Mavropanos. Also, a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Sokratis is reportedly close to being announced.

If Emery plays a back four, you’d imagine at least one central defender must make way this summer. Could that be Chambers?
