Jamie Redknapp slams “shambolic” Gunners

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp ripped into the Arsenal team after what he described as a “shambolic’ performance against West Bromwich Albion as our nightmare continues.

Tony Pulis’ side, who are comfortably safe in the Premier League having reached the 40-points mark, were clearly more up for the game and put in the required effort needed in such a clash.

However, for a team in disarray, we certainly didn’t attempt to the arrest the slump we’re currently in and Redknapp claimed that he’d witnessed one of the worst performances from an Arsenal side in a long time.

“That’s the sort of performance that gets managers the sack,” Redknapp said.

“I have never seen such shambolic defending and I feel so sorry for those all those Arsenal fans who have come up in their droves today.”

The disgust on Redknapp’s face was evident to see and his words are further compounded by the fact that we failed to register a single shot on target in the second half.

We’re regularly told that we can’t compete financially with some of Europe’s elite teams and that’s why we often fall short in the Champions League, so how are a team like West Brom able to beat us so comfortably?

If the bank balance of each side determines the outcome of the game, then why are so regularly trumped by some of the worst sides in the league who adopt a similar approach?

We’re an absolute shambles tactically and Arsene Wenger will have to answer for that moving forward.
