Arsenal announced on Monday the news that Hector Bellerin has signed a new long-term contract at the club which has certainly delighted our fans.

The Spaniard has marvelled since breaking into the team two years ago and the club have seemingly tied him to a contract until his late 20s.

One man who’s seen many world class defenders during his time is Petr Cech, and the 34-year-old believes Bellerin can reach the top of the game.

“He can compete to be one of the best right-backs in the world,” Cech told Arsenal Player.

“If he keeps working, in the same way, he’s been working, there is still room for improvement in his game with a bit more experience and more games under his belt. He can go really far.”

Bellerin is so crucial to our team play and is leading the trend in football as modern full-backs become a major component in each team’s attack.

The former Barca man has assisted more goals since last season than any other Premier League defender and his commitment to the club is marvellous.
