Raphael Honigstein dissects Arsenal’s summer window…

German football expert Raphael Honigstein gave a damning assessment of our summer policy so far with Arsene Wenger inactive in the window as our rivals continue to strengthen.

Granit Xhaka remains our sole first-team signing and was followed by youngsters Takuma Asano and Rob Holding – though the pair seem to be signings for the future and may go out on loan.

With the ESPN panel contemplating why Wenger is yet to address our centre-forward issue, Honigstein boldly claimed that Arsenal will not see changes unless they replace the Frenchman.

“It’s almost impossible to understand how Arsene Wenger’s mind works,” Honigstein bemoaned.

“This is the guy who last year didn’t sign a single outfield player.”

With our rivals acquiring Europe’s best coaches and players while we refuse to strengthen our position as potential title winners, Honigstein predicts that next season may be Wenger’s last and one which sees us drop outside the top four.

Huge surprise! Outside the top 4 again for the 12th year in a row! Wenger runs circles around you clowns. 2nd place last season. Eat it.

I’m not sure people are too bothered about another top four finish. Our lack of ambition was exposed by Leicester City last year. We need a credible title challenge this campaign! COYG.
