Arsenal hero Ian Wright has called for majority shareholder Stan Kroenke to sell up and hand the club to someone who really cares.

Kroenke, ever since he launched a takeover in 2007, has prided himself on being a distant owner, but the time has come for him to come forward and make a major decision.

We’ve always been suspicious about what will happen post-Arsene Wenger and it seems the board are quaking in their boots in terms of making a decision either way.

Many onlookers are of the opinion that Wenger doesn’t deserve a new contract, especially if we finish outside the top four and finishing the campaign trophyless.

However, we’re yet to see a figure above Wenger stand up and make a decision.

“The people upstairs, above Arsene Wenger, have got to go too,” Wrighty said on BT Sport.

“Kroenke’s got to get out of the club, somebody’s got to buy that man out.”

The frustration was evident in Wrighty’s tone as he implored for Kroenke to leave and it’s a feeling shared by many Arsenal fans around the world.

Having said that, we may have to just settle for a managerial change before we can focus our aim on the ownership of the club.
