Aaron Ramsey admits Arsenal players are “hurt” by Spurs’ success…

Aaron Ramsey admitted to Lee Dixon that the Arsenal players do discuss Spurs’ charge to the top and claimed that “it hurts” to see them doing so well.

After Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, our neighbours from down the road are now only four points off the league leaders and are currently the in-form team in the league.

While it would take a monumental collapse from Chelsea to lose the title at this point given their favourable run-in, the threat of Spurs doing thinkable is there.

Dixon implored Ramsey to share the conversations happening in the dressing room about Spurs, and the Welshman claimed the players are well aware.

“It obviously hurts us to see them at the top,” Ramsey told Dixon on NBC Sports.

“But you have to say they deserve it at the moment the with the way they’ve been playing.

“It’s important for us to concentrate on ourselves and if we get past Man City, maybe we’ll have a final to fight for (vs Spurs).”

The hurt felt inside the dressing room isn’t realistically going to stop Spurs doing much, playing properly on the pitch certainly will.

We should be resigned to the fact that, after 21 years, we will finally finish below them in the Premier League.

However, as the final derby at White Hart Lane approaches, we could put the nail in the coffin in terms of any title hopes for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
