Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has reportedly verbally agreed to a move to Juventus with the Italian side hoping to announce his arrival imminently, Corriere Dello Sport reports.

Ramsey is out of contract next summer and was told to look for a club in October after the board decided to revoke the offer that was made to him.

Not much has been said since as to why that occurred, but it now seems the Welshman will join up with one of Europe’s elite clubs.

Juventus have an extensive history of signing high-profile players on free transfers regardless of their need for the said player.

Dani Alves, Blaise Matuidi, Sami Khedira and Emre Can have all moved to the Old Lady in recent years and Ramsey looks set to join that list.

The 28-year-old has previously mentioned the desire to one day play abroad and despite having a young family, Ramsey looked destined to make that move.

He’ll have a close friend and former teammate in Wojciech Szczesny to help him settle in, the Polish shot-stopper is now the club’s No.1 goalkeeper.

For us, we have six months to find a replacement for Ramsey and given that Emery didn’t feel the former Cardiff man fit into his plans, it will be interesting to see the type of midfielder we target.

We’re still unaware of Emery’s philosophy and preferred system. Hopefully, all will be revealed in the coming windows.
