Aaron Ramsey reveals all on team dinner…

The first-team squad sent Arsenal Twitter into a bit of a frenzy after they went out for a squad meal and posted images on social media of their team-bonding exercise.

Judging by the images, it seemed as though every first team player was there apart from Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi – the former was away in Germany at the time.

Aaron Ramsey told Arsenal’s Facebook page that Per Mertesacker organised the gathering and was asked how the players decide who picks up the large bill.

“Oli (Olivier Giroud) just signed a new contract so I think he may have picked it up,” Ramsey joked.

“I don’t know what happens there but I definitely didn’t pay. Per arranged for the team to go out, it was a good laugh.”

The team spirit inside the squad is one of the strongest we’ve seen since the Invincibles despite the various nationalities that reside within the dressing room.

Mertesacker has also recently extended his contract and the German has been a solid leader for us these past few years in arguably the most sensitive period in the club’s history.
