Adidas will reportedly unveil an updated version of Arsenal’s classic ‘bruised banana’ away kit ahead of next season as the German manufactures mark our renewed relationship, Footy Headlines reports.

The kit proved to be a hit among Arsenal fans and is a retro classic with many hoping that our return to adidas would see that kit re-released.

It was worn in the early 90s by George Graham’s sensational side who won every domestic trophy available to them apart from the league during that period.

Arsenal announced our new kit deal in a bizarre, single tweet back in October which sees our partnership with Puma come to an end after our five-year deal.

The new manufacturing deal with adidas is reportedly double our Puma partnership and is set to bring in £300million over the next five years.

It’s slated to be the third-largest kid deal in history, behind Manchester United’s own partnership with adidas and Barcelona’s Nike deal.

While no official date has been set as to when next season’s kits will be unveiled, one expects announcements to closely follow the end of the current campaign.

Amid a frustrating time to be an Arsenal fan, we finally have something to look forward to!
