Alex Iwobi Details How #TheSockChallenge Came About

Alex Iwobi’s Sock Challenge…

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi created a bit of fun in the dressing room at London Colney as he took part in the ‘Sock Challenge‘ alongside Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The midfield trio filmed themselves flicking up socks off the floor and volleying them into the wash basket after a training session.

Iwobi told Arsenal’s Facebook page that the other members of the first-team squad were too busy getting changed and making their way home, but the Nigerian star and his close teammates had other ideas.

“I told Jeff record this, I’m going to do something mad,” Iwobi narrated.

“I flicked it up and just kicked it in the wash basket. So Jeff said ‘Nah, I have to try it’.”

The three midfielders in question seem to have struck up a good relationship off the field as well as on it, as we witnessed in our 5-0 demolition of Southampton in the FA Cup.

Check out Iwobi’s full interview in the video above as he discussed his rise at Arsenal, the influence from his uncle Jay-Jay Okocha, and more.
