Andy Dunn On Sunday Supplement: Arsenal Remain Title Challengers Despite M’boro Blip

Andy Dunn gives his Arsenal vs Middlesbrough verdict…

Andy Dunn from the Sunday Mirror was at the Emirates on Saturday to watch our drab draw against Middlesbrough, but the experienced reiterated his belief that Arsenal remain in the title hunt while on Sunday Supplement.

Despite there being familiar failings in our display against a team looking to frustrate us at home, Dunn senses that there’s an air of optimism around the Emirates despite the blip.

Dunn stated that Arsenal are allowed a slight hiccup like all their rivals, but they missed an opportunity to make a statement of intent to the rest of the league.

“They still are serious contenders,” The Football Writers chairman said on Sunday Supplement.

“It was just a missed opportunity to make a statement, to say ‘hang on, we can go on one of these great runs’.”

With a trip to Sunderland looming next Sunday, it’s a very good opportunity to get back to winning ways in the Premier League before a massive north London derby.
