Wenger’s post-match interview…
Arsene Wenger conceded that he felt at some stage during our frustrating game against West Bromwich Albion that he settled for a draw before Olivier Giroud headed home the winner.
We were experiencing a traditional game at the Emirates, we dominated possession against Tony Pulis’ men, had 11 shots on target, and met a goalkeeper in the form of his life.
However, Mesut Ozil and Giroud had different ideas as they combined to net the winner which delighted the boss and help put that nightmare week behind him.
Asked how he would’ve reacted had the game ended in the draw, Wenger replied: “Football is like that, you have to accept the result.
“I thought at some stage it might get there (a draw), sometimes you can lose as well these games.”
We now have a short break until we face Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day and we certainly need to win each of our next five fixtures before we travel to Chelsea in the league.
