Arsenal linked with Vlahovic again…

It wouldn’t be a January window if we were not linked with a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic after our public pursuit of the striker three years ago, CalcioMercato reports.

According to reports emanating from Italy, Arsenal are once again eyeing a move for Vlahovic as Mikel Arteta attempts to cure the team’s profligacy in front of goal.

Arsenal look likely to have been eliminated from both domestic cups in a matter of days after defeats to Newcastle United and Manchester United respectively.

The Gunners dominated both encounters and created a plethora of chances, but failure to put the ball in the back of the net has once again become our achilles heel.

To make matters worse, Gabriel Jesus was stretchered off with a knee injury in the clash against Manchester United with Arteta fearing the worst.

“Big worry. That’s my feeling. He had to come off on a stretcher with a lot of pain. Touching his knee, it’s not looking good,” the Spaniard said in his post-match press conference.

Vlahovic has 18 months left on his current deal and with Juventus facing financial difficulties, they need to cash in on the Serbia international.

At just 24, the former Fiorentina man is far from his prime years and is clearly a natural goalscorer with 12 goals already this term.

However, having been stung by Vlahovic and his entourage when he was available in 2022, one suspects that the ship has sailed.
