Carabao Cup draw: Arsenal looking to exact revenge on Chelsea after previous League Cup defeats…

Arsenal have been drawn against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals after our narrow 1-0 win against West Ham United in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

It’s our first appearance at this stage of the competition since we went all the way to the final in 2011, leading to the infamous defeat against soon-to-be relegated Birmingham City.

Arsene Wenger rarely fields a strong XI in this tournament which means are progression is usually largely down to the luck of the draw, which we’ve been blessed with this year.

Three home clashes against Doncaster, Norwich City and West Ham has led us to this point, and a fiery double-header against Antonio Conte’s men awaits.

We’ve failed to win any of the last two League Cup ties against the Blues, with the latest one coming in 2013 against a Jose Mourinho side.

However, we’ve come out on top in our last few one-off games against the current champions, and another few positives results will see us return to our ‘second home’ of Wembley stadium.
