“Blatant Cheating” – Arsenal Fans React To Shocking Decision To Send Off Lewis-Skelly

Arsenal fans have had enough…

Arsenal fans were rightly outraged on social media after referee Michael Oliver once again attempted to influence our result by brandishing a red card to Myles Lewis-Skelly for an innocuous challenge.

Lewis-Skelly attempted to stop a counter-attack at the edge of the Wolves box and what seemed like a straightforward yellow card for a cynical tackle turned into another flashpoint.

Oliver, who’s now sent off eight Arsenal players during his Premier League career, decided to have yet another moment at the Molineux Stadium.

A red card was brandished immediately towards the 18-year-old and despite mass protests from the Arsenal players, VAR refused to intervene and correct the decision.

Analysing the incident in isolation is no longer feasible for Arsenal fans given how many unprecedented decisions PGMOL has handed us.

This isn’t Oliver’s first flashpoint with Lewis-Skelly this season, with many forgetting that he booked the teenager while warming up during the ill-tempered clash at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.

The Hale End star was sent to give David Raya instructions and went too close to the area behind the goal. Oliver paused the game to book the versatile midfielder. You have to wonder if his card was marked from that moment.

Check out the reaction below from fans online as some called on the team to forfeit the game.
