Arsenal Fans Shocked At Sighting Of Forgotten Man In Training Video

Kieran Tierney is now back in training…

 

Arsenal posted their latest training video update showing the boys being through their paces during the international break and the sight of Kieran Tierney has marvelled the Gunners fanbase.

Tierney has become the forgotten man at the club after a serious hamstring injury during the Euros scuppered his chances of an inevitable exit last summer.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad which was designed to try and raise his value in the market, but injuries marred his spell in the Basque region.

Tierney is approaching the last 18 months of his contract and with an extremely busy schedule coming up in December, Mikel Arteta could use the numbers in defence.

Despite our plethora of options at left-back, the likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko can’t seem to stay fit which could give Tierney a way back into the side.

A Carabao Cup clash against Crystal Palace takes place between two crucial Premier League games next month and I’d imagine the Scottish international will be eyeing that period for his return to the pitch.

It does show how far we’ve come as a team that Tierney has now effectively taken the squad position of Cedric Soares – the forgotten full-back who couldn’t get a move and randomly appears in the starting XI in a cup tie.
