Arsenal reportedly have options on key trio’s contracts…
Arsenal reportedly have the option to trigger extensions in the contracts of star trio Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba, according to the Evening Standard’s Simon Collings.
Arteta confirms Arsenal want to extend Martinelli, Saka and Saliba’s contracts.
All expire in 2024, but current deals have options to extend in them.
My understanding is Saka and Saliba have one-year options and Martinelli a two-year option.https://t.co/EaMT0C5VnK

Mikel Arteta confirmed during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday ahead of the Europa League tie against Bodo/Glimt that the club are currently in talks to extend the aforementioned trio’s contracts.
Fans were under the assumption that all three players would theoretically be out of contract in 2024, thus putting the club on the back foot in terms of these negotiations.
However, while their contracts currently run until June 2024, Arsenal have options to trigger an extension on all three contracts to differing lengths.
According to the report, there is a 12-month extension option in the agreements with Saka and Saliba, while the club can trigger a 24-month extension in Martinelli’s current agreement.
Hopefully, the club won’t need to exercise those options and the trio can agree to new deals to reward their current standing in the squad and how crucial they are as this team grows.
Speaking on Wednesday about the club’s desire to extend their contracts, Arteta said: “Well, obviously we have to plan for the future and we are all working on it.
“Obviously Edu is on top of it and all the board. We will try to do things in the right way, being fair and trying to plan the best possible way and reward the players that, in our opinion, have a big future for the club. When we have something to announce, we will do that.
