Thierry Henry calls Kane a potential “great”…
Arsenal hero Thierry Henry told Spurs striker that he’ll become “a great” and that he hopes he’ll enjoy a long and healthy career to achieve the aims he’s set himself.
Ahead of one of the most telling north London derbies in the Wenger era, Henry spoke to Kane about his finishing technique, as well as if he intends on breaking Alan Shearer’s legendary record.
Shearer is rather lonely in the ‘200 club’ in terms of Premier League goals and Kane has been tipped to break that record if he continues on his current streak.
While waxing lyrical on a fellow striker throughout the interview, Henry may have overextended his positive comments as an Arsenal legend.
“I can tell you are going to be, hopefully without getting injured, a great,” Henry told the 23-year-old.
“You use your brain, you have that pose that all the greats have.
“Hopefully it will carry on, I don’t want to jinx it.”
Hey? Henry seems to has lost his bearings as an Arsenal man.
Joking aside, the Frenchman was doing his job as an impartial Sky Sports pundit, even if some of his colleague’s don’t share those qualities.
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are not shy in being openly bias, while Henry often tip-toes around the topic of Arsenal and is extra harsh at times to prove a point.
