Arsenal Legend: Gunners Need A Player Like Paul Pogba

By The Editor

David Seaman would’ve loved to see Paul Pogba in an Arsenal shirt…

Arsenal legend David Seaman named Paul Pogba as the one Manchester United player he’d love to see in a Gunners shirt ahead of the mouthwatering clash on Saturday.

Pogba joined Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd for a then world record fee in 2016, and after an indifferent start, he’s starting to produce levels close to what many predicted he would.

He’s the driving force of an otherwise average Man United team, and his absence was keenly felt during his recent lay-off with a hamstring injury.

For Seaman, we’ve been missing a player of such calibre for a number of years despite investing heavily in our central midfield in recent windows.

Asked by TAG Heuer which player he’d love to have in the Arsenal side from the Red Devils, Seaman replied: “Pogba.”

“Pogba in the to the Arsenal team. I like the way he plays and he’s a strong midfielder which is what Arsenal are crying out for at the moment.

“Someone like that and if Pogba is injured, then Matic, anytime.”

It’s clear to see from Seaman’s answer that he still feels we lack power in the middle, something not many can argue with.

Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny have joined over the past 24 months, yet none really possess the dominant qualities required in this division.

However, it’s hard to see Arsene Wenger breaking a habit of a lifetime and addressing an area we’ve struggled in for over a decade.
