Arsenal could boost the coffers with a win…
Arsenal could be sent for a windfall should they beat the odds and eliminate Real Madrid ahead our quarter-final clash against the European giants, The Times reports.
The club posted healthy financial accounts last month for the year ending May 2024 – reporting record revenue totalling over £600 million.
That was mainly due to the riches of the Champions League which marked our first year back in Europe’s premier club competition in seven years.
However, having succumbed to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, a chance to go one step further this year will see us crack the nine-figure mark in terms of revenue from the European Cup.
15-time winners Real Madrid arrive in N7 next month for the first-leg of a mouth-watering tie and having already eliminated Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are favourites to retain their crown.
Boasting an attack which includes Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. will always keep you in any tie, but they will be facing one of the best defences in Europe.
Only Inter Milan have conceded fewer goals than us in this season’s competition and it will be the rearguard that Mikel Arteta will be relying on to give us the edge.
Also, the return of one Bukayo Saka will certainly help…
