Arsenal and PSG are reportedly in talks regarding the potential sale of Hector Bellerin as the club looks to trim the squad in what is a huge summer window, The Guardian reports.

The report claims the Champions League runners-up have put in an offer of £25million with another £5m in potential add-ons, and that talks remain between the clubs.

It indicates that there is an acceptance that a deal could be good for all parties, with PSG viewing Bellerin as an essential target for the right-back position.

Mikel Arteta needs to sanction a few sales in order to further fund the business he wants to conclude this summer, and Bellerin remains one of a few saleable assets we possess.

The right-back position is one we’re currently stacked in with Bellerin, Cedric Soares and Ainsley Maitland-Niles all vying for a first-team place.

It means that it was always a position we needed to address and with Cedric arriving on a free transfer recently coupled with Maitland-Niles’ sensational form, Bellerin was always in danger.

The Spaniard has been a wonderful servant for the club in recent years and seeing him depart would be sad, but if it results in the Arteta acquiring some of his midfield targets then it would be worthwhile.
