Arsenal’s impressive month honoured through a host of Premier League nominations…

Arsenal’s impressive form in the Premier League for December has seen the club represented in several different categories for the monthly awards.

Gunners duo Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard are nominated for the Player of the Month award after a stellar month for our attacking department.

Odegaard netted three times and laid on three assists in six games, while Martinelli scored three goals and bagged two assists in the same period.

After months of profligacy and a lack of creativity at the top-end of the pitch under Mikel Arteta hindered the team, that no longer seems to be an issue.

The boss is also up for the Manager of the Month award for the second time this season, the Spaniard picked up the gong for September after securing three wins from three – culminating in the dominant derby win against Spurs.

Our final nomination sees Alexandre Lacazette nominated for the Goal of the Month award for the beautiful team goal we scored at home to Southampton.

It was a sweeping move that started at the feet of Aaron Ramsdale, moving through the pitch with the ball barely leaving the ground up until the Frenchman swept home. A goal that optimised the philosophy Arteta is instilling at the club.

With my unbiased hat on, I believe we have a chance of claiming the win in two of the categories – Goal of the Month and Player of the Month. Odegaard and Lacazette should walk away with those awards.

For Mikel, those two defeats at the start of the month will probably see another contender honoured.

Check out the announcement of the nominations below.
