Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang claimed that revenge is the mindset among the squad ahead of a daunting trip to Anfield on Saturday, the striker told AFTV.

Fresh from his match-winning performance against Burnley, Aubameyang tapped into the fan channel’s Instagram live feed to surprise viewers.

After being congratulated on his performance at the Emirates, the 30-year-old started looking forward to one of our most daunting trips of the season.

We suffered a 5-1 thrashing at the home of the European champions last season despite taking an early lead through Ainsley Maitland-Niles and are yet to defeat the Reds under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp.

It will be a stern test as to where we are as a team following a summer of change, and Aubameyang is certainly looking to exact revenge.

“We feel confident, we feel we need revenge,” Aubameyang said.

“Last year was a bad game, we want to do something over there and I think we can. We have the whole week to prepare for this game.”

Liverpool haven’t looked overly convincing at the back this season and were very lucky to come away with three points at Southampton.

Also, Norwich were able to carve out many clear-cut chances at Anfield last week with Klopp’s side deploying a bizarre high line.

If Unai Emery can get us set up correctly, we can cause problems against last season’s runner’s up.
