Arsenal Starlet Joe Willock Scores Classy Brace As Our U18s Defeat Man United U18s

Arsenal starlet Joe Willock showcases his class…

Arsenal starlet Joe Willock scored a classy brace as our U18s secured a convincing win at Manchester United to keep our league chances alive going into the final week.

Joe is one of three talented brothers, with one of his siblings facing him in this fixture at U23 level days later as he belongs to Manchester United’s academy set-up.

Joe is the youngest of the talented trio, with brother Chris arguably the most advanced in terms of his development and a player Arsene Wenger has gone record to predict to have a big future in the game.

The 19-year-old was included in our two previous pre-season tours and judging by the quality of the strikes in the video above, his younger brother could soon be joining him.

Our academy set up has come under fire in recent years given how rarely we’ve seen talent tread that difficult path into the first-team.

Hector Bellerin seems like the last potential superstar moulded by our academy staff, while Alex Iwobi has shown that he has the capabilities to play for the club.

Andries Jonker and Freddi Ljungberg have since jumped ship to go and manage Wolfsburg, which adds to the uncertainty around the club as to who’ll fit those roles.

Politics aside, the talents seems to be there at the club as the highlights show in the clip above.
