Arsenal Starlet Nets Classy Brace In U23s Game

Reiss Nelson produces quality once again…

Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson added to his burgeoning reputation after netting a wonderful brace in the U23’s first league game of the season at Derby County.

Nelson’s second striker is the one that had many in awe, with the 17-year-old taking the ball from the halfway line before beating another defender and curling the ball home.

His ability to change direction at pace without relinquishing possession is what has many people excited about Nelson’s potential.

The England U19 star was one of the revelations of our pre-season campaign, where he starred in the Emirates Cup as Arsene Wenger tried him out in a wing-back role.

In a similar system for the U21’s, Nelson was played in the two positions behind the striker, and he proved that he can wreak havoc when he’s in possession closer to the goal.

Jack Wilshere also made his comeback in the clash, dictating the game from a deeper role as he looks to work his way back into Wenger’s first-team plans.

Wilshere is one of many players out of contract next summer, and his future is far certain as the club looks to recoup some funds for a few players.

Check out Reiss Nelson’s brace in the video above.
