Arsenal stars react to the 2-0 win at Wolves…

Arsenal secured a big win at Wolves on Saturday evening to move five points clear at the top of the Premier League ahead of the World Cup break.

A brace from skipper Martin Odegaard saw off the relegation-threatened side as Mikel Arteta’s team continue to flex their title credentials.

Having watched Manchester City lose at home to Brentford in the lunchtime kick-off, the onus was on us to capitalise and handle the pressure that comes with that.

Buoyed by their new manager watching on after Julen Lopetegui was paraded to the Molineux faithful before kick-off, Arsenal had to quieten a vibrant atmosphere.

After a nervy first half, which saw us lose Granit Xhaka to illness, Arteta rallied the boys at the break and the team looked full of purpose following the interval.

A dominance in possession started to bear fruit and Odegaard then produced his match-winning moments.

First, he pocked home a delightful chip into the six-yard box from substitute Fabio Vieira. The Norwegian doubled our lade after lashing in a rebound following Jose Sa’s save from Gabriel Martinelli.

It sends us into the World Cup in an unimaginable position, at the summit of the Premier League. With 10 of our first-team stars heading off to Qatar, the squad reacted on social media after signing off with a win.
