Spanish expert Guillem Balague is reporting that Barcelona want Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin to replace Dani Alves this summer, but Arsenal have told them that they have “0 chances” in luring the 20-year-old away.
Bellerin, who joined us from Barcelona at the age of 16, has become one of the best in his position over the past 18 months despite his tender years.
It was inevitable that the links back to Barcelona would emerge once he made a name for himself given what we experienced with Cesc Fabregas each summer.
Unlike his fellow Catalan, Bellerin has made it clear on a few occasions that he has little interest in returning to the Nou Camp – though that hasn’t dampened Barca’s pursuit.
“Barcelona are trying to get Hector Bellerin of Arsenal, and they think they have a chance,” Balague told SkySportsNews HQ.
“Arsenal think they’ve got no chance whatsoever.”
Given that Bellerin is under a long-term contract and has expressed little desire to leave, we can rest assured that he’ll still be with us next season.
