Arsenal train ahead of Wolves clash as trio return…

Mikel Arteta put the first-team through their paces on Saturday as the squad prepare for the visit of Wolves in an attempt to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

We’re without a win since the victory at Old Trafford, while we haven’t found the back of the net from open play since last month’s 2-1 win at home to Sheffield United.

A much-changed side produced a solid display in the Europa League against Molde on Thursday night and it will be interesting to see if any of those players force their way into a Premier League XI.

Arteta was particularly complimentary of Reiss Nelson who was razor-sharp in Norway and with Nicolas Pepe now serving a three-match ban, there’s certainly room for the 20-year-old.

The manager has received some good news on the injury front with Bukayo Saka, Willian and Mohamed Elneny all returning to full training.

Willian has been struggling with a calf injury, while Saka limped off at Elland Road with a dead leg. Elneny had been in quarantine following a positive Covid-19 test.

It gives Arteta more options in midfield if he’s to continue with a 4-2-3-1 system as he looks to cure our profligacy.
