The Arsenal first-team squad trained on Tuesday at London Colney ahead of the crucial London derby against West Ham United, a win would see us move ahead of The Hammers into the top four.

While much of the discourse surrounding the club is dominated by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s exile from the squad after the 32-year-old was stripped of the captaincy, the players have a tough game to prepare for.

Following back-to-back league defeats away from home this month, it’s crucial we make amends by following up Saturday’s 3-0 win against Southampton with another three points.

Arteta will take comfort from our home form this season, with no Premier League side picking up more points on their own patch than the Gunners.

With a busy schedule coming up, it will be interesting to see how Arteta sets us up after choosing to name an unchanged side for the match against The Saints.

Emile Smith Rowe is now fully fit while Nuno Tavares will likely feel like he has a shot at reclaiming his left-back berth from Kieran Tierney.

Upfront, though, it’s almost certain that Arteta will now rely on the experience of Alexandre Lacazette following the removal of Aubamemyang from the squad.
