Emile Smith Rowe becoming hot property…

Arsenal are anticipating a bidding war between Crystal Palace and Fulham as they look to secure the services of Emile Smith Rowe after the latter had an opening offer knocked back, The Guardian reports.

Smith Rowe has two years remaining on his contract and while the report claims that Mikel Arteta doesn’t want to sell him, the club will have to recoup a fee for him if an acceptable offer arrives.

The 23-year-old has started just three Premier League games in two years, indicating how little trust the manager has in him as we look to clinch that elusive league title.

Fulham reportedly had an offer in the region of £30million rejected and while they’re preparing an improved offer, it’s said that Crystal Palace will come to the table.

The Eagles have around £60 million burning a hole in their pocket following the sale of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich and Smith Rowe would represent a solid replacement.

The Guardian claim Palace will go to £35 million for their opening offer – including add-ons – and it remains to be seen if that figure is close to the club’s asking price.

Smith Rowe is preparing to fly with the rest of Arsenal squad to Los Angeles on Sunday as we ramp-up our pre-season preparations.

Arsenal’s record sale still stands as the £34 million we received from Liverpool for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2017 – hopefully that can be smashed this summer.
