Arsenal’s Gabriel Records Emotional Tribute To Chapecoense

By The Editor

Arsenal defender Gabriel recorded his own personal tribute to the tragedy which befell Brazilian club Chapecoense this week.

The Copa Sudamerica finalists were involved in a fatal car crash which took the lives of most of their first-team squad and staff members.

Gabriel was close with a few of the victims and even shared a dressing room with them during his time in Brazil, and the Arsenal man was heartbroken that he delayed reaching out and catching up with his former teammates.

“Don’t leave for tomorrow what you can do for today,” Gabriel professed.

“I say that because on my last birthday I had the urge to talk to Caio Junior, but for some reason, I left it for another day. And then this tragedy happens.”

The pain can be felt through Gabriel’s voice and he deserves immense credit for taking to the field and playing against Southampton on Wednesday night.
