Arsene Wenger drops a bombshell about his future…
Arsene Wenger cast doubt over his future after stating that he’ll definitely be managing next season, whether that’s at Arsenal or elsewhere.
It seemed like Wenger was serving the firmly in the board’s court with the heat on the manager’s back at an all-time high.
Days after what was arguably his embarrassing and soul-crushing moment on the dugout at the Allianz Arena, Wenger has come out swinging.
With his contract up in the summer, many feel as though signing on for a new two years will not do anyone at the club any good, especially with such hostility in the stands.
However, for Wenger, retirement is not in his plans and if he’s not managing at Arsenal, it’ll be somewhere else.
“No matter what happens, I will manage next season, whether it’s here or somewhere else, that is absolutely for sure,” Wenger told the press.
“I want to do extremely well, I feel a big responsibility.
“You do not stay somewhere for 20 years and walk out of a defeat like that and whistle. But I have the strength and experience to deal with that.
“Even if I go, Arsenal will not win every single game in the future, that is part of it, you have to accept that, as much as it hurts to lose games,” Wenger reminded fans.
I’m not sure we expect Arsenal Football Club to win every game, how about we just don’t get trounced every time we meet decent European team?
