Arsene Wenger: Alexis And Ozil Will Stay For 18 Months At Least

Wenger’s warning to Alexis and Ozil…

Arsene Wenger spoke to the press ahead of our clash against Stoke City on Saturday and much of the focus was directed at Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s contractual situations.

The two superstars are out of contract in the summer of 2018, and Wenger stated that whatever happens during the negotiations, Ozil and Alexis will remain Arsenal players until that date.

There were rumours that we may listen to offers for Ozil if he doesn’t lower his wage demands, but Wenger completely refuted those claims.

“These players will stay here for at least 18 months,” Wenger told the press.

“I think at some stage you have to accept that negotiations are private and secret, and we do not always have to come out every day to explain what we do in football negotiations.”

While the negotiations for Ozil and Alexis are not as smooth as we’d hoped, it seems as though all parties are intent on thrashing out the best possible deal for themselves before committing.

Let’s focus on what matters on the pitch and competing for the Premier League title.
