Arsene Wenger has called on fans to put aside their qualms and get behind the team ahead of such a crucial week in our season.
Following back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, the mood around the club is one of trepidation at what looks to be another failed title challenge.
As we prepare to face Hull City, the huge tie against Bayern Munich looms over the horizon and the boss has called on the fans to get behind the team.
Wenger also challenged the supporters to match the same level of support other clubs will receive from their fans, naming Tottenham Hotspur as an example – a rather dangerous tactic.
“We are in a fight there, we absolutely have to be united or we have no chance to do it,” Wenger told reporters.
“You have Tottenham, everyone is in the fight and everyone is behind their team. We have to do exactly the same, even if we had two disappointing results.
“But what is important and what matters to us is not the opinions of people, what matters is the next result and how we respond to difficult situations. This is a period where we have to stick together and focus and respond.”
