Arsene Wenger addresses his future once again…

——————————–

Arsene Wenger was quick to shoot down reports emanating from France which claimed that he’s agreed to a new one-year extension to his contract.

Speaking after our emphatic win at Stoke City on Saturday as we kept our top four hopes alive, Wenger said there was “nothing” in reports claiming his future has been sealed.

L’Equipe, who are the source of the story, are usually reliable with stories pertaining Arsenal given our obvious French connections.

However, Wenger is adamant that they’re way off the mark with this report.

“There is no information about that,” Wenger told reporters.

“Nothing,” Wenger added which is his own unique way to state that the story is completely unfounded.

While a number of outlets are of the understanding that Wenger will sign an extension, I wonder if that’s because it’s just difficult to see him depart?

The Frenchman has become synonymous with the club and the day he departs will certainly be felt around the world given his unique tenure.

Wenger will leave Arsenal Football Club one day and at the age of 67, that day will come sooner rather than later regardless of the tone a certain section of the media choose to adopt.

The fact also remains that Wenger is out of contract next month and is yet to commit his future to the club.
