Arsene Wenger On His Future: I’m An Adult & Will Accept What Happens

Arsene Wenger gives hints on his future…

Arsene Wenger, for the first time, may have hinted that he’s managed us for the final time moments after etching his name in the history books as the most successful manager in FA Cup history.

We produced a near-faultless display against champions Chelsea to clinch a record 13th FA Cup for the club, putting us in a league of our own.

Wenger himself reached a personal landmark, but it’s when his future was mentioned in the post-match press conference that he seemed to hint that we may have seen the last of him.

After making note that he’s held onto his winner’s medal for the first time in his Arsenal career, the Frenchman stated that he’ll accept what the board decides.

“We are adults, we have to accept what will happen,” Wenger told the press.

“If I am still here next season, I will have the same attitude.”

The quote was in response to being asked if he felt the board were full behind him, which makes the whole predicament more significant.

We’re often assumed that Wenger will go on his own terms, whenever the time came, yet the boss is dispelling those myths.

He revealed during the press conference that he felt he was the right man for the job, but that he’ll have to wait for the board meeting on Tuesday when his fate will be decided.

Whatever happens, the board and Wenger are under huge pressure to demonstrate some form of change after what was a disastrous Premier League and Champions League campaign.
