Arsene Wenger briefly reflected on his Gunners career while appearing as a pundit on beIN SPORTS for their Champions League coverage.

The former Gunners manager has made it clear that he’ll return to management in early 2019, though many still want him to address the final years of his Arsenal reign.

Wenger, a man who revolutionised English football and married breathtaking football with the desire to win, transformed into a different being with less hunger for trophies towards the end of his Gunners career.

We fell off in terms of challenging for the title, even during seasons in which our stability was supposed to be credited as an advantage for us.

However, without going into specifics, Wenger admitted that he regretted every mistake he made.

“Would I have done things differently? I regret every mistake I made,” the boss said.

“If I have to do it again, of course, I would not repeat the mistakes I made.

“But that is part of life. Top-level people have a good, objective analysis of their mistakes and try not to repeat them.”

Unai Emery has come in and while our start has been solid, there have been signs which prove that the Spaniard has a monumental task on his hands.

He’s been left with a squad filled with average players who’ve been under-coached, while back-to-back seasons outside the Champions League means our disposable income isn’t much to write home about.
