Wenger’s Ozil challenge…
Arsene Wenger has challenged Mesut Ozil to add even more goals to his game after the German’s sensational volley won us the three points against Swansea City.
Ozil is regarded as one of the best creators in world football, but Wenger has always felt that the 28-year-old has more in his locker in terms of individual brilliance.
His strike against Swansea City marked his third of the season, which is a great platform to make this his most prolific campaign to date.
“Fantastic, Mesut has that in the locker,” Wenger said when asked to describe Ozil’s goal.
“When you see him finish like that you think, ‘come on my friend do it more often’.”
“In training, he scores when he wants,” Wenger added.
Alexis Sanchez is actually our highest assist-maker this season, and with Ozil playing right up alongside the Chilean, more goals are expected of him.
Alexis and Ozil will certainly be looking to fill their boots as Ludogarets and Middlesbrough visit the Emirates Stadium in the coming days.
