Arsene Wenger On Promising To Announce Future In March Or April: “I Was Wrong”

By The Editor

Arsene Wenger skirts around future topic…

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger once again refused to clarify his future ahead of the clash against Manchester United, even after he was reminded that the deadline he’s set himself had passed.

Following our defeat at West Bromwich Albion in March, Wenger claimed that he was “clear in his mind” as to what his future holds and that the world would know soon, yet no such confirmation came.

The boss then went on to state that his future would be resolved in March or April, yet those months came and went with no hint of an announcement.

When pressed on why his deadline wasn’t met, Wenger danced around the topic yet again.

“And we are in May, that means I was wrong,” The boss said as he preempted the journalist’s question.

Asked if he was ready to make an announcement, Wenger said: “No.”

At this point, the damage has already been done by the club and Wenger in terms of the uncertainty they’ve created for reasons only they can comprehend.

Whatever he or the club say, it has had an effect on the players and our campaign has suffered as a result.

We’ve completely collapsed since December and had this been a club with consequences, someone would be losing their job come May.

Check out his full pre-match press conference in the video above.
